dc.description.statementofresponsibilityMr. Geoffrey Murray (Canada, ) was appointed Senior Counsellor in charge of Political Committee Items for the Canadian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in 1955. During the outbreak of the Suez Canal Crisis in 1956, Mr. Murray participated in numerous meetings and committees that established the first United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF). Prior to joining the Canadian Mission, Mr. Murray worked in the Middle East Section of the European Division in the Canadian Government.en
